So I went ahead and skipped all three of my classes on Thursday and joined AJ on a trip downtown. I was terribly sore so I pretty much spent the entire afternoon resting up. I was supposed to go with Hoosier Dave and Greg to US Beer Co. for 50-cent beers, but then Scott decided to go, and his photo is on my fake so I had to wait around for a while.

It all turned out for the better, however. I joined Sara, Sally, Caitlyn and Alex upstairs and had a few shots of Sara's birthday gift--a bottle of Hypnotiq. We headed out to US Beer Co. where I proceeded to get very drunk. At one point during the night I put my arm around Sara and she looked me straight in the eyes and said, "but Neal, we're just friends!" Needless to say, I was furious and that pretty much ruined my night. I came back to the dorm with them, but didn't say good night and went straight to my room.

Sara called me shortly thereafter and we argued for a bit, I threw my phone against the wall and made some dents in my window ledge. I decided to go up to her room, anyway, and that turned out very well. Let's just say there was some make out action involved and I ended up leaving her room at about 6:20AM.

Last night I went to The Big House and got more than my money's worth. $20 got me about five or six gin and tonics, a Whiskey Seven, three Jager Bombs and a beer. It was awesome seeing all the guys (Dan, Dave, Kaddy, Doug, Rob, Conran, etc.) for a few hours.

And now I have nothing to do all weekend.

Yesterday was nuts. I had class from 10:10AM to 9:00PM, but afterward I partied hard. Scott, Hoosier Dave, Rob, Greg, Paul, Derrick, Susan, Nicole, Rachel, Jane, Mollie and I marched out to a small duck pond in a park near the Lincoln Park Zoo. There we enjoyed a whole lot of beer, then crossed the street to the beach and played some night time football and frisbee before heading to Allende's and back to the dorm. Great night.

Today was one of the best days ever. No class today and it was beautiful outside.

Naj and I went out to the quad in the afternoon and threw a football around for well over an hour, soaking in the sun and enjoying the scenery. Shortly thereafter we ran a few errands and returned to Seton. We pulled a few chairs out in front of the dorm, filled some Diet Coke cans with Pabst Blue Ribbon, and grabbed Naj's shower radio. We chilled out front for about an hour and a half and listened to the Sox game, before deciding to go to the beach. After grabbing some hamburger patties and hot dogs from Dominick's, we packed up and walked to the beach with AJ following shortly behind. Nobody else wanted to go because it was supposed to thunderstorm. We had an umbrella, for Christ's sake! Anyway, we played some more football at the beach and grilled up some delicious supper. We cleaned up and finally trudged back to Seton. Almost immediately after, we walked to the liqour store to buy some goodies. We got $2 "Cuban Reject" cigars and sat on the "Seton porch" in our lawn chairs to enjoy them. When about ten other Setonites went across the street to the parking lot to play Wiffle Ball, frisbee and football, we joined them. After playing football for the fourth time in 24 hours, my arm is on fire. Not only that but my feet are torn up and painful as hell. It's all worth it, though, for a great day.

HeatherZ, I'm calling you when I'm drunk tomorrow night.

Good times.

Oh Valentine's Day. I blew nearly sixty bucks today, only one day after making the resolution to no longer spend real money on weekdays. So much for that. However, it bought Sara and I a nice dinner at Bordo's--which settled some worries I had--and a dozen roses for her. I also got her roommates, Sally and Caitlyn, a single yellow rose apiece for how supportive they've been thus far.

I go home tomorrow and I get a sweet new suit. I'm thinking a black pinstriped jacket and pants with a lavender shirt and perhaps purple tie. I look damn good in a suit and I get to wear it at least three times in the coming few months.
Occasion #1: Formal party on my birthday (February 24th!). $10 cover, open bar.
Occasion #2: Homecoming with Sara (March 5th!) at the Museum of Science and Industry. The theme is "My Kind of Town," whatever the hell that is, and it should be a blast.
Occasion #3: Cousin's wedding in Minneapolis one week after we get out of school. Kendra's going to be my date because of her location.

Blue Iguana on Thursday with (hopefully) a big group. 75-cent domestic bottles can't be bad and Thursdays are just about the most fun day of the entire week. Go figure.

Marquette game on Sunday afternoon. Going to be absolutely nutso schizo at the game and I'm afraid I might get my ass kicked, especially if DePaul wins.
This weekend was so cool.

The theatre party on Friday was a blast, mostly because I was insanely drunk and I don't remember most of it. However, I do remember offering my beer to a CPD officer who came to break up the party. The hangover the next morning wasn't quite as great.

The date with Sara M on Saturday was similarly a blast. I had a great time, I think she digs me as much as I dig her, and we're hanging out again tomorrow night. She is awesome.

Today I went apartment hunting with Dan and Party Dave. We found some awesome deals, especially on a 3br/2ba place with a garage two blocks from Wrigley Field, Bacci Pizza, the red line Addison stop, and a sweet liquor store that delivers kegs for cheap. We wrote down perhaps two dozen different places for rent and we're going to try and check some out this week. Ideally, I'd almost rather move in during third quarter than wait until the summer or next year.
So, Christmas wasn't bad.

I hauled in about $465 (my best Christmas to date), a sweet innertube sled, Napoleon Dynamite, and a Learning to Play Bass DVD. Plus I got the usual set of ornaments from my mom and dad, grandmas, and aunt. Both Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas day were surprisingly pleasant. It was nice to see my cousin Marc from Kansas, as I only get the opportunity once or twice per year.

The highlight of my Christmas came about five minutes ago, however. I got a phone call from Tia, and she sounded a bit weird. We talked about Christmas for about two minutes, and then I found out that she was drunk when she told me she was giving me my first drunk dial from her. It was funny. She admitted that I'm the second coolest kid around after her brother. But I'm supposed to keep it a secret from Sara! Anyway, Tia made my day!

I hope everyone else had a wonderful Jesus birthday!

So, I just updated my class schedule. I used to have Intoductory Psychology and my Focal Point class on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with Composition & Rhetoric II and Philosophy on Tuesday and Thursday. For my Focal Point I had Blues & Jazz in Chicago. I heard horrible things about the instructor turning it into a black history class and 15 hours of community service wasn't appealing to me, so I switched it up. I changed to a Reading/Literature class with a professor that's recevied mixed reviews. Let's hope I made the right choice, and if not then at least I might realize that English isn't the field for me.

And now, I wish for all of you to list your favorite album names. I ask this because I'm currently downloading two Lambchop albums, titled Aw C'mon and No You C'mon and I found it hilarious.
